Our Story
Hello, We are Al & Ellie, the founders of RidgeCommz.
Based in the United Kingdom, my passion began many years ago with CB's, scanners and plenty of old radios from a local second hand store. Over the passage of time, and several sets of screwdrivers later, the passion for radio communications is just as strong. Myself and Ellie met and I encouraged her to explore the radio world and join this amazing commuity!! (Although I am still on a mission to make Ellie a license operator!!)
Having gained the RSGB foundation licence, (M7 DJA) and now working towards the next step, our knowledge and experience within the amateur radio environment has grown. We found that we were forever waiting on our new gadgets to arrive and if you're anything like us, we were getting impatient!
As avid users of both RF, DMR and network radios for communications for a long time, it's now time for us to start looking after you.
And this is how RidgeCommz was born - a radio communication equipment store and radio event hire!
